I am interested in working with students that have research interests that align with mine. These include fluvial geomorphology, watershed and river science, and paleoflood hydrology. Students interested in working with me should know that having a strong work ethic, being self motivated, and being enthusiastic about fieldwork are essential. Funding for graduate students working with me varies but includes research assistantships from grant support, teaching assistantships from the department, and sometimes fellowships awarded by UA's Graduate School. If you are considering graduate studies (MS or PhD) and would like to contact me, use the e-mail link above. In your e-mail, please include the following information: 1) a brief description of your research interests; 2) a brief description of any past research experience (presentations, lab work, fieldwork, publications, or other relevant skills); and 3) a summary of your academic background (GPA, GRE scores, and any classes in geomorphology or geology taken). It is fine to send a C.V. or resume that includes all this information. The links below provide more information about graduate studies at UA and detailed information about the application process.
